Meet Juniper (aka June-June, Juni, Peanut, June Bug Jones): our tiny but loving rescue kitty with the sweetest personality and the smallest teeth... or soon to be no teeth at all.

Since January, our sweet girl has been battling a painful mouth condition that’s caused her to lose a heartbreaking 2 pounds, which is 35% of her body weight (she only weighed 6 lbs to begin with!). After lots of vet visits, we found out that her immune system is basically waging war on her own mouth. Her saliva is attacking her gums and any plaque on her teeth, and the only cure is to remove all of her teeth.

Yes, all of them. Apparently, cats can be happy little gummy bears, and we’re all for it if it means Juni gets to live pain-free.

Her surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30th, and while the vet has prescribed steroids to help manage her pain in the meantime (and they’ve already made a HUGE difference, she’s back to playing, purring, and even eating dry food again!), the real fix is a full dental extraction.

The only catch? It’s expensive. Like... “we-just-bought-our-first-house-and-our-wallets-are-crying” expensive.

We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers to ask for help. Every little bit counts — whether it's $5, $50, or just sharing June’s story. We want to give her the pain-free life she deserves, filled with naps, chin scratches, and the occasional zoomies.
