I have no words to preface this properly, but my brilliant, gorgeous, talented, daughter, (who has already had a very rough several years with her terrifying thyroid disease with years of medically-caused isolation), was brutally and viciously attacked by her partner. He is facing up to life in prison, but is bonded out until sentencing. These trials can take years. She needs to remain hidden, protected, and feel some sort of control. I created this fundraiser, but it is in her name only and she will be the only person who can access the funds. I did not show many of the injuries, as I could only show five pictures, and I had to choose ones with a background she will never be near again.

Please, read on to learn of Juniper's journey through an attempted homicide during a domestic violence attack. And, from a mother's broken heart to you, I sincerely thank you for your time and any help with getting this shared around the community.

My daughter Juniper is 29-years-old and has always been a bright, loving soul. She moved to California hoping for a fresh start, better medical care for her life-threatening thyroid disease, and a loving partner. Instead, she found herself trapped in a nightmare. For the past year, Juniper endured relentless abuse, (unimaginable assaults, violent beatings, and a lack of proper food and medical care.) On January 11, 2026, her partner brutally attacked her, leaving her with severe injuries and trauma. He tried to end her life, and it was only through the intervention of the police that she was rescued.

Juniper’s journey to safety was harrowing. She was left with nothing but her life and her beloved cats, who are still left behind and need to be brought home to be with her. Being separated from them is an added burden and makes it even harder for her to heal. I drove across states to be by her side, despite my own health challenges and financial struggles. I have supported her as best I can, but the costs of starting over, like housing, transportation, legal fees, and replacing everything she lost, are more than I can manage alone. Her insurance does not cover the mental health care she desperately needs, and we left almost everything behind to ensure her safety.

As a mother, it is heartbreaking to see my strong, beautiful daughter forced to fight for her life and future. I am seeking a second job, but it is going to take some time.
