Remember when the National Science Foundation abruptly cancelled review panels at the last minute? Some junior scientists scheduled to participate in these panels took a financial hit because of housing reservations that could not be reimbursed. After exploring all options within NSF, it seems these folks won’t be able to recover these funds. For those living on thin financial margins, covering these costs will make a huge difference for them.

I’m raising these funds to support a few biologists who are bearing the brunt of this particular incident. Any additional funds raised will be donated to the organizers of the Stand Up For Science rally to continue their advocacy work.
