Hi, my name is Eric Olsen. I'm raising funds because my apartment rent is being raised by my landlord to almost $2,000 per month for my one bedroom place. I am disabled and currently on Social Security Disability, which doesn't cover my full rent. My entire SSDI payment goes to my rent. I only work a part-time job because that is all I can work to keep my healthcare and disability insurance. My part-time job only pays $900 per month, and I have to buy food and pay bills with that. I am trying to find alternative housing but it is difficult. Also, my building has significant structural damage, yet the landlord is still raising the rent.
