My cat, Juniper (Junie/June Bug), recently went through a life-threatening medical emergency. He developed a severe bladder blockage — something that can be fatal within just a day or two. By the time we got him to the vet, he was in critical condition due to the toxins in his body affecting his heart and kidneys, and he was very close to not making it.

With that being scary enough, the vet also discovered that he had developed pneumonia, likely caused by aspirating vomit during the blockage episode. The combination of the blockage and pneumonia made his condition even more concerning, and he needed immediate, intensive care to stabilize him.

The emergency vet team acted quickly to save him, but the procedures, hospitalization, and ongoing care have created vet bills far beyond what I can manage on my own. So far, the costs include emergency stabilization, catheterization, bloodwork, pain medication, and continuous monitoring. Junie is still being held in the emergency hospital, receiving round-the-clock care. He also needs follow-up care to make sure the blockage doesn’t return.

I love my little guy more than I can explain. He’s my baby, and seeing him suffer was heartbreaking. I’m incredibly grateful he’s still here — but I’m now facing medical bills that I simply cannot cover without help.
