Junie B. is our sweet, floppy hound and such a significant piece of my heart and family. At just five years old, she already faces some tough health challenges including bad hips and a degenerative knee disease, which makes it hard for her to run and play like she loves to. On top of that, she recently needed emergency stomach surgery after swallowing a toy that caused a life-threatening blockage.

Junie B. is a special, silly, affectionate soul. She loves her family and people she meets, insists on snuggling close and hogging the bed, and greets us with unconditional love every time we walk through the door. Especially since physical activities have gotten harder for her, we make sure she has plenty of toys to keep her busy and bring her joy—though unfortunately, one of those toys led to this scary surgery.

We’ve already opened two credit cards just to cover her care, but the costs are overwhelming, and her recovery requires constant attention.
