Help June Recover from a Traumatic Accident

Donation protected
Hey there, my name is Rebecca, and I'm fundraising to cover the medical costs for this sweet baby girl who was hit by a car on the morning of Friday, October 24th. Before I get into the heavy details, let me share a little about this bundle of joy!

Her name is June, and she is part of a colony of stray cats who have been living in my backyard. She's about 6 months old, and she is 1 of the 3 black kitty sisters who have been such beautiful presences on our land. I've been working to find homes for them, and June was one of the fortunate ones! She meant to get adopted on Saturday, October 25th, and then she experienced her terrible accident.

June is such a special little soul. Every morning, when I go to the backyard and she hears my voice, she runs over to me to get her pets and cuddles. She'll look at me with her big green eyes with so much appreciation. She'll follow me around the yard so she can ensure she gets as many pets as possible. She's such a social kitty with other cats and with humans. Oh, and she's such a little purr machine - she will always let you know how happy and comfortable she feels around you. She is also such a little curious kitty, which is what led to her accident. She began to get curious about the street as she watched other cats cross it. We think she may have attempted, and that's when she got hit by a car.

With a miracle on her side, the car didn't hit her very hard. She sustained some head trauma, but no organs were damaged at all. The pressure from her head trauma was relieved with an injection. She has bruising on her lungs along with some fluid, but the vet assured us it's not serious and will heal on its own. Somehow, she has no broken bones. The only real damage was to her left front leg. It has nerve damage and may be amputated. There is a potential that it can be fully healed with physical therapy, but there is also a chance she may need to have surgery to amputate it.

She had to spend 24 hrs in the ER to receive the medical attention and care she needed. After visiting her, she was so alert and so willing to cuddle. The doctor said there is no serious concern that will require her to stay in the hospital, so she has been discharged! However, we need support with her medical bills - $4,000 has already been spent and put on a credit line. She will also need additional support for her physical therapy and potentially for her amputation. I'm currently fostering her indoors as she continues to heal with someone she feels comfortable with. Hopefully, after this, she will be able to find her furever home!

Your donations will support:
-The emergency care medical bill of $4,000 from True Care Pets. This charge was put on a credit line from Care Credit.
-The physical therapy treatment she will begin to help salvage her leg.

[If she does need her leg amputated, we will be raising money for this as well.]

June was a lucky one and was given a chance to live a life with so much love. We want to ensure she has it! Your donations would support in paying off any bills for the medical attention she's received and will continue to need so she can be a thriving and growing kitty!

With so much gratitude,
Rebecca, Humberto, and Marie
