- My name is Julio from Florida, and my wife's (Melissa) family is suffering due to Hurricane Melissa. My wife is from Jamaica, and so far, her relatives in Kingston are okay, but we haven't been able to get a hold of her brother. We are desperately wanting to know if he is alive and his 2 kids (Westmoreland) because we heard they are just dumping the dead bodies in holes in the ground. My wife's family is lacking food, emergency supplies, building materials, etc. If anyone could help... the devastation is real. GOD BLESS JAMAICA IN THIS TRAGIC TIME. Whatever funds are collected will go towards my wife's extended family to help rebuild and preserve the many lives that are in need. Update as of 11/9/25
We are happy to report that Melissa's brother has been located with his two children. However, like many others he has lost his home, food, clothing & everything he owns. The devastation is very real. We continue to seek help on their behalve.
