If you are anywhere in downtown Olympia, you know Julio. You know he is friendly, always cheerful, and loves to laugh. Right now, Julio needs our help.

UPDATE: Julio's surgery went well. The doctors are very optimistic about his recovery. However, he will still need our help for the long-run. Please, consider donating, and/or signing up for the meal train. If you have already donated, we are incredibly grateful.

On Tuesday, June 3, Julio was involved in a serious fall while trimming a tree at work. He had extreme damage to his right leg and was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital, where he has already undergone one surgery to place pins in his leg and a halo around his knee so it doesn’t move.

On Tuesday, June 24 Julio will go to Seattle for his second surgery to place more plates and screws on both sides of the knee. Though the doctors are optimistic that Julio will be able to walk again, it is clear that the recovery will be a very long journey (it could take up to a year for Julio to be mobile).

We’d love to support Julio as much as we can during this time…There are a couple of ways you can help:
