Hi, my name is Valeria Villarreal, and I'm fundraising for my mom Juliana Villarreal a local Houston artist known as JulieV.

On Tuesday, December 20th, there was a break-in at Winter Street Studios. A studio was fire-bombed, and the entire building suffered smoke and water damage. Many artists lost their work and supplies, including my mom.

My mother Julie raised me by herself. She worked hard to make sure I never wanted for anything. When she retired, she was finally able to focus on her art. It gave her so much joy.

Now all of her art has suffered damage. She's being forced to hand-clean everything and pack it for storage while the building is professionally cleaned. She works every day to clean and pack, and when she comes home she immediately falls asleep, exhausted.

Everything in her studio has been affected, including all of her supplies and years of productive work. She purchased cleaning & packing supplies for the process. This has been a huge setback for her.

I'm asking for any donation to help her cover these unexpected costs and help her get back to doing what she loves, making art. Thank you.
