As many of you know, Julie has been battling bladder cancer since December. She has always been someone who gives without expecting anything in return. Julie is currently appealing a denial from Paid Leave Oregon. Over the past few months, the kindness of friends and family as well as our own savings, has helped us maintain some stability, and we are endlessly grateful for that. We have been incredibly fortunate not to have to ask for much help until now. There have been many changes in the plan as things have progressed and spread. After an emergency week in the hospital and having nephrostomy bags placed, the journey has been made much longer. Julie is undergoing many more weeks of another chemotherapy. This has had some tough affects on her, of course. Any funds raised will go directly toward lodging for hospital stays, medical care supplies, medical bills, other household expenses, and ensuring that our family can focus on Julie in the weeks following without the added stress of financial strain.
