Help Julie with her cancer medical expenses
Donation protected
Hi my name is Julie and I am 54 years old with a 17 year old daughter. In 2018 I was diagnosed with stage T4 oral mandibular cancer and required my right jaw bone to be removed. I was given a stomach feeding tube along with a breathing trachea tube. I could not work and received some disability. In June of 2021 my cancer returned on the left side and my left jaw was removed, half of my tongue, so I cannot talk. I still have a feeding tube and breathing tube. After 2 months in the hospital from the 2nd surgery my cancer returned in the roof of my mouth and has grown quickly. A PET scan shows the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes and lung. I am currently receiving 10 radiation treatments to shrink the tumor in my mouth and will begin chemo treatments soon. I live with my 77 year old father, with my daughter, in a very small condo. My father started working to pay for my expenses. The doctor said 11/17/21 that I will die from this cancer. That may be a while, I pray, because what I have is treatable, but not curable. I have no money for my expenses, but am trying to get disability. It's not much, but will be a blessing. The doctor took a large graft of skin from my thigh and it is attached over the area where my jaw and chin used to be. I have no bottom lip. I am trying to maintain all that is required of me to get my medical supplies, make my treatment appointments and fill out too many forms for anyone, even someone healthy. If anyone is blessed enough and would like to help me, it would so appreciated. My life is very hard and sadly, I have lost half of my face. I am still very blessed and keep my eyes on Jesus. I wouldn't have funeral expenses and I have no insurance. Any thing would help and I know there are so many that have it harder than me. God Bless you all.
