On February 1st, 2021, my fiancé Julie discovered her first lump, and three weeks later she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Immediately starting chemo, while fostering her two grand babies, Julie never lost her shine and her strength on getting better. In August she was able to have a double mastectomy, only to find out a few months later in November the cancer was back on her chest. Then on December 13th we got the devastating news of her cancer being metastatic, spreading to several bones- including 1/2 of her spine, collar bone, arm bone, hip, leg bone, and more. It is also in her lungs, liver, and soft tissue around her bones.
Anyone who knows Julie knows she spreads sunshine wherever she goes. She has the biggest heart, along with the most beautiful smile. She would go above and beyond for the people she loves, especially her two little grandchildren, who are her entire world.
On the advice of her current oncologist she is getting a second opinion from the U of M on her cancer and what she can do to get better and live the life she deserves. Sadly with her illness she is unable to work, and I will have to take time off of work to bring her and be her support system.
In order to take off some of the stress and burden on our shoulders of covering the costs of her ongoing medical bills, which will include the 400 mile travel to the U of M, her loved ones wanted to create this go fund me to help her and support her in her journey to getting better. Anything will help this beautiful person on her road to recovery.
