Please help Julie through this extremely difficult time! On May 24th Julie lost her beloved husband Bill to COVID19. It was extremely fast and especially difficult for Julie as she too had been hospitalized for COVID and had been unable to see Bill during his final days.
A little back story... Julie and Bill were diagnosed with COVID19 on May 11th. On May 15th Bill was taken by ambulance to the hospital where they put him on a B-Pap machine. By May 19th Bill's breathing had worsened and he was put on a ventilator. May 20th Julie was rushed to the ER due to difficulty breathing and was put on hi-flow oxygen at 85%. May 21st Bill developed blood clots in his lungs and on May 22nd Julie was told Bill's kidneys were failing and they were going to start dialysis. Monday, May 24th doctors rushed Julie from her hospital bed to Bill's side in the CCU to say her final goodbyes. Her two sons, Ronnie & Tyler, didn't make it in time to say goodbye to their dad.
Julie and Bill are lifetime members at Upperco Volunteer Fire Company. Bill drove the engine for over 20 years and was repeatedly recognized as one of the top 10 responders and as Fireman of the Year in 1998. Both Julie and Bill dedicated countless hours of their time at events and fundraisers for the community while working full time jobs, raising a family, and caring for others.
For those of you that know Julie and for those of you that don't, Julie is one of THE MOST selfless people you will ever meet. She would gladly give you her last dime, the shirt off her back, or her time if she felt you needed it. She ALWAYS puts herself last and others first! Julie is a pillar in the community; dedicating her time to helping elderly friends get to their doctor's appointments, taking them prescriptions, making dinner for them, and bringing them groceries; all while working 60 plus hours a week at her day job. She is always striving to lift other people's spirits and their burdens. NOW JULIE NEEDS OUR HELP! She is left with hospital bills, at home nursing care, and cost of living expenses on her income alone.
Julie is a loving Mom, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to so many people! Please help us lift her spirits and ease her burdens as she returns home and begins to heal. On behalf of her sons and daughters in law, we can't thank you enough for your thoughts, prayers, and generosity!!!
