Julie Melson Needs Our Help!

Donativo protegido
My friend Julie Melson lost her job in IT in January, 2018.  We met at Fairmont United Methodist Church, where she is a beloved and active member of our congregation.

Although she has enjoyed a long career in web development, SQL Server development, and general IT work, none of her interviews have resulted in an offer.

You see, Julie is a transgendered woman.  Many of us know how hard it is to find a job after a job loss, either through personal experience, or as witness to the struggles of our friends and family members.  Still, I don't have to tell you that bias and bigotry have made THIS job search all that much harder, and now she is getting ready to lose everything.

We need your help in finding a JOB FOR JULIE, and for funds to  prevent her car repossession, phone shutoff, and (hopefully) her eviction, although the eviction process has already been initiated.

At this point, Julie is willing to accept any work that will accept her.  She is also willing to relocate for a job in her field.  Contact me if you have job leads and I will pass them along immediately!

I am asking for help in keeping her in her apartment in Clayton, with the lights on, her car payment paid, and her phone on.  To bring her up to date, we need $2800, IMMEDIATELY.   The additional funds are to pay her bills for four more months.  If she finds a job during that time, any extra funds will be donated to Pastor's Discretionary Fund at Fairmont UMC, which has already helped as much as possible.

PLEASE share and post to your social media!   Thank you!
