On top of this, I’m trying to get back to California with my kids. We haven’t seen my parents since 2018, and my mother has cancer and may not have much time left. She’s asked me to come stay with her and my father so I can help care for them during this difficult time. It breaks my heart to be so far away, especially when my family needs me most.
