Help Julie Recover After a Devastating Car Accident
Donation protected
During the 4th of July weekend, our dear friend, Julie Begey Seureau was involved in a car accident. Julie was in the passenger seat (with a seatbelt on). The horrific car accident shook her family and friends but changed everything for her.
Police officers at the crash scene weren’t sure she would survive.
Julie was admitted straight into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She spent a week fighting for her life. Initially doctors told us her odds were 50/50. Since then she has undergone three major surgeries, two for her digestive system and one for her lower back.
Now, Julie is out of ICU, but still in the hospital. She still faces a long road of medical care, rehabilitation, and healing.
But if there’s anyone who can beat the odds — it’s Julie.
A Fighter, A Mother, A Creative Force
Julie is not only a beloved mother of two young children, she is also a highly respected documentary producer who has built a thriving career through talent, integrity, and relentless dedication. Her work has taken her across the globe, capturing human stories that matter — the kind that shine light on unseen truths and spark real change.
On her IMDb profile , you’ll see just how much she’s accomplished: an award-winning professional who has led productions for major international broadcasters and independent studios alike. Julie was recently (on July 15th) nominated for the Primetime Emmy for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking for her work on Celine Dion documentary!! But what that IMDb page doesn’t tell you is who Julie is at heart.
Julie is a giver — someone who never asks for help, but is always the first to offer it. Whether she is hand-making thoughtful cards for friends (see her Instagram account), crafting, organizing her kids' birthdays, opening her home to others, or supporting someone in crisis, she does it with kindness, grace, and no expectation of anything in return.
This year alone, Julie has already gone through a lot in her private life and has been carrying the weight of the world alone — emotionally, financially, and logistically. And now, with her body broken, her ability to work paused, and her kids needing her more than ever, she needs us.
Why We’re Asking for Your Help
Julie is a freelancer, which means she doesn’t have the safety net of paid medical leave, employer-covered insurance, or income stability. The costs of the ICU, emergency surgeries, ongoing treatment, and what will be a long and difficult rehabilitation process are stacking up fast.
This isn’t something she can face alone.
Every Dollar Matters
We are asking you to join us in raising as much as possible to help Julie get through this chapter. Funds raised will go directly toward:
- ICU and hospital expenses
- Surgery and specialist bills
- Rehabilitation and physical therapy
- Household help
- Utilities, and basic living costs while she’s unable to work
This is our chance to show Julie that the love and care she’s given to so many is coming back to her now — multiplied.
If you met Julie, you already know she would have moved the moon to Earth, if it were you in this situation. If you don’t know her, trust me, she will make sure to thank you, once she is back on her feet.
If you can give anything at all, please do. And if you can’t give, please share this page with your network. Your support in any form truly matters.
Let’s help Julie focus on what matters most: healing, recovering, and being there for her kids.
Thank you for supporting Julie. She’s a fighter — but even fighters need a village.
With deepest gratitude,
