1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Unfortunately, my best friend, Julie, is one of those women physically, verbally, and emotionally. Authorities were repeatedly involved, no contact orders were filed, and yet, she is still unsafe. After months of abuse, she's getting out! I am so proud of her, but her resources are limited. Now that she's finally out, she has no car, no job, and no home. Her and her precious 5 year old son, Jesse, are moving into a homeless shelter this week. Julie sold her PC, clothes, and even had to sell toys. She is looking to get a job but has no computer to get a remote job and no car to go to an in-person job.
