This is Julie and her family. They, like many others, were suddenly in danger after the 2024 election. Julie and her family have lived in New Jersey since 2021. They left their beloved home in Colombia after years of undergoing the abuse. With the new administration, they once again felt unsafe in their home. This time because they were seen as less than human based on their documentation status. Her family left to Canada with the help of an immigration lawyer. Now, they are thankfully going to be seen by the court to prove their case. However, this has left with large bills in legal fees as they try to start their lives all over again.
