Just as I was trying to rebuild, a devastating hurricane struck, followed by the loss of my 18-year career as a Senior Java Developer. I managed to pick myself up and start over, only to be hit by another, even more destructive hurricane the following year. Now, despite my best efforts, I am unable to find work and am facing the terrifying reality of hunger and homelessness.
