My name is Cinthya & I'm raising money for my dad, Julian. In 2020, my dad was diagnosed with ALS. We heard about the ice bucket challenge (which he participated in) but we had no clue the true challenges the disease brings. That is, until he started dropping things, then started walking funny.. Numerous appointments at the orthopedic doctor, who then referred to neurologist...and then the bad news. Fast forward to now, my dad has progressed and is now paralyzed. My strong, hero selfless dad who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone, is now the one requiring (lots of) help.

He spends all of his time at home because we don't have the proper accessible transportation for his power chair. It also is a difficult and painful task to transfer him into the car etc each time.

I am asking for help, so we can get my dad out and living (as much as he can) again. I would love for him to be able enjoy all the things he loved to do before becoming paralyzed; Paseando "driving around" was one of them. Even just driving by the water and watching boats go by, my fond memories with him in childhood ❤️

Did you know mobility accessible vans are so expensive?! My dad is on a set income, and with expenses being so high there is no wiggle room for any other payments (ie- buying or leasing a mobility van).

There are so many places we'd love to bring him so we can make memories together as a family again, outside of his home.
