But what happened afterward shows the kind of man he truly is.

The woman was distraught, shaking and crying. Her husband had been deported. She had two young children in the back seat, terrified and clinging to her. She was overwhelmed with fear — not just of the accident, but of what might happen to her family.

Even though he was the one who lost his car…

Even though he was not at fault…

Even though he has been struggling financially for four years…

Julian looked at those children and said he would never be the reason a family was separated. He chose empathy over anger, compassion over blame — because that’s how he was raised.
