Subject: Support for a Resilient Friend
Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Gisa Seeholzer, a resident of Los Angeles, and I want to take a moment to share the story of my dear friend Julian Hernandez, a long-time resident of Altadena, who has been deeply impacted by the devastating Eaton fire. As he navigates this challenging journey of rebuilding his life and home, his strength and resilience have truly inspired me.
While Julian’s house miraculously still stands, the fire has left its mark, with smoke damage and the destruction of neighboring homes weighing heavily on him. The cleanup process is not only daunting but also costly, and the emotional toll of being away from his home is significant.
Unfortunately, the Eaton fire has also affected his workplace, Vanderhoof Veterinary Hospital off Lake in Altadena, which is currently closed for cleaning and repairs. This has added another layer of uncertainty to his situation.
During this difficult time, Julian has been a beacon of hope in our community in Altadena, selflessly collaborating with others to lend support. Now, he needs our help as all proceeds will go to find temporary accommodations (hotel or airbnb), cover gas(to get around), food, and other essential needs (cleaning supplies, air purifiers, etc) until he can return to his home and work.
Any support you can offer to help Julian through this tough time would mean the world. Thank you for considering a way to uplift a wonderful person who has given so much to others.
Warmly,
Gisa
