Dear Community,
I’m reaching out with vulnerability and gratitude. Last winter, your generosity helped carry me through one of the most difficult periods of my life post injury. I hoped I wouldn’t have to ask again—but today, I’m on Plan F. I’ve done everything I can—tapped into savings, maxed out credit cards, applied to jobs, followed every possible lead—but the timing hasn’t aligned, and I’m now facing the threat of eviction.
I’m asking for emergency support to raise $2,500, which will help me stay housed and stable through the end of summer until the school year begins and I’m back on more solid footing.
You may notice the campaign goal looks lower at first—GoFundMe uses a dynamic system that increases the public goal as milestones are reached. But I want to be transparent: my full need is $2,500, and every contribution brings me closer to safety and peace of mind.
⸻
How the funds will be used:
• $1,550 – Rent relief & eviction prevention
• $300 – Utility payments (electricity, internet, etc.)
• $250 – Groceries & basic necessities
• $200 – Transportation (for work, interviews, or school-related travel)
• $200 – Buffer for late fees, overdrafts, and unexpected costs
⸻
If you’re able to give—thank you from the bottom of my heart. If not, sharing this link with your community is also a huge help.
Asking again is not easy. But choosing to be visible and vulnerable in this moment is an act of hope—and a belief in collective care. I believe in that. I believe in you.
With deep appreciation,
Julian
