Dear Hillcrest Community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to rally around Julia Reed, who has given so much to our beloved HMS community.

Ms. Reed has been a loved educator for years. Her unwavering dedication, compassion, unconditional love for all students, and infectious enthusiasm have touched countless lives.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.

Ms. Reed has recently been diagnosed with cancer and will be taking time off to undergo treatment. As she begins this challenging journey, we want her to have the space she needs to rest, heal, and focus fully on her recovery — without the added stress of financial uncertainty.

She deserves the gift of peace, nourishment, and support — and that’s where we come in.

• Lost income during her leave from work
