Help support Julia's Battle with Crohn's disease

Donation protected

Hi, I’m Breanne and I’m reaching out to ask for help for my daughter, Julia.

For the past five years, Julia has spent the majority of her childhood in hospitals, fighting a relentless battle with Crohn's disease. Diagnosed at just 10 years old, she has been in and out of nearly every hospital within a four-hour radius from our home, enduring countless treatments and procedures.

Julia’s journey with Crohn’s has been incredibly tough. Since her diagnosis in 2020, she has never gone into remission, and in that time, she has lost 55 pounds. Despite trying every treatment possible—biologics, steroids, antibiotics, HBOT, IV therapy, and even holistic approaches—nothing has provided lasting relief. Three years ago, Julia underwent major intestinal surgery, but she continues to struggle with managing the disease.

We are now facing the possibility of a total colectomy, as her doctors are running out of options. Although Julia still manages to smile, the reality is that she is critically ill. Right now, she’s receiving nutrition through a PICC line and still eating by mouth. While she had been gaining weight steadily, we’ve hit a plateau, and the road to recovery remains long and uncertain.

Julia has been in the hospital for over a month now. We were transferred via ambulance to a hospital in New York City, which is about two hours from home (three hours with traffic). The doctors are unable to give us a timeline for when she’ll be able to go home, so we’re bracing for at least another month or two here.

The financial strain of this situation has been overwhelming. As most families in similar circumstances know, it’s common for one parent to stop working in order to care for a child who is critically ill. I’m currently unable to work, and all my focus is on being here with Julia. The costs of special diets, supplements, and out-of-pocket treatments not covered by insurance are staggering. To make matters worse, we’ve been ordering food for Julia from outside the hospital, as the hospital food isn’t suitable for her. We’re spending roughly $800 a week on food—about $30-50 per meal via DoorDash. On top of that, we have a $1,400 deductible, ambulance costs, and an unpredictable flow of medical bills.

We’re doing everything we can to support Julia, but the financial burden is becoming too much. Any help you can provide, no matter how big or small, would be a huge blessing and would go directly toward food costs, medical bills, and other necessary treatments.

If you’d like to help, I also have Venmo and PayPal. Please reach out, and I’ll be happy to share the details.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, support, and generosity. Your prayers and contributions mean the world to us, and we’re so grateful for everyone who has been with us during this challenging journey. I’ll continue to keep you updated on Julia’s progress.

Matthew 18:20 Jesus states for where two or three are gathered in my name I am there among them so here we are God a group that stands firm on your promises we ask in your precious son name Jesus that he is with Julia her parents ,the doctors that you give them all wisdom on how to proceed with this disease.you are the God of impossible and we know you work all things for our greater good we ask that you bring healing and restoration to Julia’s body that you give her comfort and peace in her time of need may your will be done in Jesus name we pray.

With love and gratitude,
Breanne & Jason
