Hi, my name is Julia. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have cerebral palsy, and I'm a permanent power chair user.

Because of my cerebral palsy, movement is challenging for me. When I was young, I was helped with this by having physiotherapy on a very regular basis, along with other forms of therapy as well.

Unfortunately for me, guaranteed physiotherapy stops when we reach 16 to 18 years of age, as at that time we age out of children's services and are then left to our own devices, which for many people, including myself, means no therapy at all.

In 2024, I was introduced to a wonderful organisation that provides specialist therapy for people just like me, and I was able to have a few funded sessions. The organisation is called Cerebral Palsy Scotland, and they are wonderful. They were able to get me standing, but more importantly, able to have regular exercise with their very knowledgeable physiotherapists and occupational therapists. However, this therapy is not available on the NHS, so I can only go for more treatment if I can raise some of the money myself. I would also like to have some of the equipment used for standing, which I used while I was at the charity, but it is also expensive.

So, today I would like to ask if there is any way you could help me reach my goal? I would be grateful for any amount you can give; nothing is too small or too large!

Having this therapy regularly, which means so much to me, changes my physical abilities as well as benefiting my mental health, would be life-changing!
