Help Julia through the unimaginable

After surviving a horrific car accident on May 20th 2023 in which herself, her father, partner and sister were critically injured, Julia received the worst news of her life.

Her parents waited to make sure she was ready physically and that she was emotionally aware of where she was and what she’s been through before they told her that her sister Ella tragically passed away as a result of the accident.

Julia had 5 surgeries in as many days. And was been asleep more than she’s been awake. She has a huge physical recovery ahead of her.

In the hours after the accident Julia asked how her sister was and her parents could reply and tell her that everyone was looking after Ella, but on Ella’s passing the question became harder to answer and they did their best to deflect the question and put Julia’s focus on getting better.

Within a few days Julia stopped asking.

It was like deep in her heart she knew.

It’s just heartbreaking.

There’s sisters, and then there’s Julia and Ella. Julia was almost 4 when Ella was born and Julia was the proudest big sister I’ve ever met. And from that day on Julia was her guardian, mentor and best friend, they were inseparable. As time passed you would’ve thought they were twins. They were true kindred spirits. Their connection gave them the strength to get through anything. They both share amazing creativity, Ella’s incredible art will live on forever and we hope that Julia’s love of music will continue after this tragedy.

In response to an outpouring of support for Julia a go fund me page has been created by me (her aunty) for Julia to help support her through this horrendous time because it’s so heartbreaking what’s she’s about to endure.

Her life as she knew it is about to be stolen from her, her future without her sister Ella will be incomprehensible.
