Help Julia Defeat Lyme!

Dear Friends Near And Far of Our Most Beloved Julia,

As you may or may not know, Julia is starting an intense medical treatment in the hopes of finally receiving relief from the chronic disease that she has been battling for years. The hope of this treatment is that she can finally live life without pain. A lot of people live without pain, and it's hard to explain how much mental energy, let alone every other kind of resource, this takes up in a life.

She started leave from work three weeks ago, and will be off for the next month to receive daily treatment at a specialist in Reno, NV that has helped many other patients who have suffered the same long journey as Julia. It's a grueling treatment, so any prayers and love sent her way would be much appreciated.

Lyme disease, as you may know, can be very difficult to treat, and leads patients to many different treatments, medicines, and modalities, most of which don't really help, but may give some mild relief. The difference with this treatment, the reason Julia is putting all of her resources and focus here, is because there is this hope, that this could be the end, as it has been for so many others in her shoes.

But of course, such a treatment comes at a steep price! She has dug deep, counted the cost, and is prepared to do whatever she can to make this a reality! However, I have encouraged her, as have others, to not face this alone, nor deplete all her resources to accomplish this by herself.

Julia has stood by with all of us at our various junctures, with love, commitment, and a deep loyalty. Now it's our great joy and opportunity to do the same for her.

Many of us cannot stand by her in person, but we can help ease the financial burden. The total cost of treatment is ~$14,500 and our goal is to raise is $6,000 for Julia by her birthday May 13th.
