Julia Brown has always been a source of strength and kindness for those around her. Recently, she faced the unimaginable loss of her husband, Steven Brown, due to medical negligence. While still grieving, Julia began to feel unwell and struggled to eat, leading to a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. The cancer was aggressive and required the removal of part of her colon. Unfortunately, this surgery led to further complications, sending her back to the hospital multiple times and resulting in a month-long stay. During this time, doctors had to install a stoma and delay aggressive chemotherapy until she was stable enough to begin treatment.
Julia is still in the hospital, fighting every day to regain her strength. The emotional and physical toll has been immense, but now she faces an overwhelming financial burden as well. Her insurance will not cover any of the cost of the chemotherapy and payment is required up front to begin the cancer treatment she urgently needs. This amount does not even include the expenses from her surgeries, emergency room visits, or the extended hospital stay, which have added to the stress and uncertainty.
Any support to help relieve the cost would make a world of difference for Julia and our family, especially in the challenging months ahead. We also encourage everyone to raise their voices about the state of healthcare. No one should have to worry about up-front financial barriers when facing a life-threatening illness. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for standing with Julia during this difficult time.
