Tragically Jules, Juliet Bundschuh, had to have her leg amputated just below the knee on July 13. Jules had two long operations over three days to remove blood clots and open the arteries to her foot. Unfortunately the operations were unsuccessful and left no choice but to remove her foot. Jules was in unimaginable pain throughout this ordeal.

As most of you know, Jules has been at Polli’s Mexican Restaurant for over thirty years, the last few years as part owner. She has worked extremely hard to keep Polli’s open durning these challenging times with Covid.

Jules is also an avid Pickle Ball player. She plans on continuing playing Pickle Ball. Anyone who has played Pickle Ball ball with Jules knows how competitive and fun she is to play with.

This has been an unfortunate setback but Jules is determined to get back to her normal life as soon as possible,

The recovery and rehab process will be long and expensive. Jules plans on going to the mainland to get fitted with a prosthetic leg as it is almost a two month wait here on Maui.
