Jules is a professional musician and educator, active in our communities for many years. They play in many diverse musical projects and inspire countless numbers of youth to explore rhythm and percussion.

Jules has endured many unforeseen challenges in recent years, and as a result they have relied heavily upon their van for transportation of instruments, ability to travel for family and medical appointments, and at times for stable housing.

Their well-loved 1989 Ford is not currently drivable and it has become financially impractical to continue to repair and maintain. As a musician and teaching artist, their work can be spread over a very large area, which means that a reliable vehicle is key to their ability to earn income and meet their commitments.

Jules has ongoing health considerations that make certain types of work prohibitive. They need to prioritize care for the longevity of their mobility and to prolong the need for more orthopedic surgeries for as long as possible -- all of which can make it challenging to make ends meet.

Due to ongoing economic changes and inflation since the onset of the pandemic, it has become increasingly challenging to economically progress with the work they feel both qualified for and safely able to physically perform.

As fellow musicians and friends of Jules, we are reaching out to our communities to support one of our own. Jules relies almost entirely on music and teaching as their sources of income, and unlike many of us, their family does not have the ability to offer substantial financial support or housing. Both of these income sources have been reduced in a brutal economy that is leaving so many behind.
