I’m raising funds for someone who means so much to our family and our community. Judy Little, the owner and operator of Judy Little Daycare in Altoona, Iowa.

Judy has spent years caring for children as if they were her own. She runs an in-home daycare and works incredibly hard to provide a safe, loving, and dependable environment for the families who rely on her every day. This daycare isn’t just her job. It’s her livelihood and her passion.

Recently, Judy’s daycare van, which she depends on to transport children to and from school, broke down. After having it looked at, it appears the van needs a new engine, an expense far beyond what she can manage on her own. Without reliable transportation, Judy may not be able to continue providing the care and school transportation these families depend on.

To make an already difficult situation even harder, Judy lost her partner of 23 years, Beaner, just a week ago. His passing was sudden and heartbreaking. He was the person who would normally help take care of emergencies like this, and now Judy is facing not only deep personal loss, but also financial uncertainty and the loss of his income.

Right now, Judy is doing her best to stay strong, but she’s feeling stranded and unsure how to move forward. This fundraiser is meant to help relieve some of that burden, specifically to help repair or replace the engine in her daycare van so she can continue working and caring for the children who rely on her.

If anyone is able to help in other ways, such as donating garage space to do the work, parts, labor, or mechanical expertise, anything at all would be deeply appreciated. Every bit of help, whether financial or hands-on, brings Judy one step closer to getting back on the road.
