Help Judy Rebuild After Fire and Cancer Diagnosis

My name is Renea Rochus and I am reaching out for help for my mom, Judy Bussey. My mom is one of the strongest and most hardworking women that I know. She is truly my hero. She has faced many hard times in her life (including a breast cancer diagnosis in her early 40's) and has handled them all with grace.

On Friday, September 30, 2024, she was diagnosed with cancer again, this time in her bladder. She has a long road ahead with testing and treatment and time off of work (she works full-time at a grocery store as the best receiving manager on the planet). Her job does offer health insurance; however, it covers the bare minimum and they do not offer sick time. Her vacation time for the year will be used up in a matter of days.

As if the cancer diagnosis wasn't hard enough, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, she suffered a house fire. Luckily, she was able to get out safely! She does have rental insurance, but we do not know how long that process will take. Most of her clothes will have to be replaced due to smoke damage along with furniture and many other items. For now, she will be staying with me and my sisters. We will have to get a storage unit for her items that are salvageable until we are able to find her another place.

This has been a very trying time for her and our family. Mom is a helper and would give the shirt off her back. Now it is our time to help her. If you aren't able to give, please pray for her and share her story. Thank you all.
