update: Pat is recognizing more letters but still struggling. His tests came back with a bunch of abnormals so he has a therapist now to help with his thought process along with his cardiovascular doctors and doctors specializing in other areas. We have had someone contact us about possible helping with a ramp but until we are sure we are keeping the goal as is but may update it to be less if it works out! Many of you may know Judy Henigin as the owner of Posh Pets Grooming in Winnemucca NV. She has been grooming for 50+ years and 20 years of those have been here in Winnemucca. She has been a big part of the community and loves her job very much.

Judy’s husband, Pat, recently had a major stroke. He had a watchman to stop blood clots which they found was leaking when he had a stroke. This caused him to loose sight. Slowly he is getting it back but he is struggling to start all over to read. His memory has also been affected and he is having trouble walking as well as he is shaking. His heart is at 20% but he is hanging in there!

Judy is in need of some help. She rarely asks for help because it is hard for her but I believe she is loved by the community and they all want to be there to help her.

What is she needing help with?

because she will have to pay for the house bills herself she needs help to getting Pat in a assisted living for only a month while she gets the place ready for him to come home. That she believes will cost about 5000, also she needs to build a ramp and put railing around her place and safety bars for the bath for him. That can cost anywhere from 4,000 to 6,000 for materials, and someone to build it. She also needs railing inside the house and a few other medical expenses to be taken care of.

Anything at this point will help her. We appreciate your help.
