Help Judy Michaelis beat breast cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my compassionate, hardworking mom, Judy Michaelis. My mom is a house cleaner, she walks to each of her clients houses, does more for her clients and doesn’t ask to get paid for extra time. If she doesn’t finish the job she would stay longer to make sure she is done. She goes above and beyond for people, she put everyone first before herself and doesn’t ask for much. I am doing this as a surprise to my parents, I did not warn them about this. But I want to help them as much as I can.
On July 5th, 2021 we got the devastating news that my mom has estrogen positive, progesterone positive, and her2 negative invasive ductal carcinoma, two tumours in her left breast, and potentially lymph node involvement. Her surgery is August 10th, 2021. She has to be at the Huntsville Hospital for 7am to get a tracer in her lymph nodes then go back to Parry Sound to the hospital to have her surgery done. If the surgery biopsy results show lymph node involvement/ no clean margins she will be needing more surgery. Then chemotherapy, radiation and hormonal therapy will be needed. But if no lymph node involvement she will be needing radiation in Sudbury that will be up there for 5 days for approximately 5-6 weeks. Then hormonal therapy for 10 years.
Her last day of work was August 3rd, 2021. Depending on surgical results she will be off for a minimum 6 months - 1 year. My father, Dennis Heidman has been picking up extra shifts at work, working on days off, and staying longer to make extra money, I have been pitching in to cover some bills but I’m limited because I’m on disability.
The money will be for:
Bills when she is off of work.
To pay for rooming when up in Sudbury.
Food when she is up in Sudbury.
Medications for hormonal therapy.
Any products she will need for after surgery.
I am grateful for any donations to my family as this has been such a devastating time to hear that she has cancer. She is stressing over money, how she will pay for bills and doesn’t want to be a burden on myself and my dad. She’s stressing out that my dad is working harder which is putting stress on his heart. This money would mean a lot to my mom and our family as she needs to focus on kicking cancers butt and surviving. Any amount would help us tremendously.
