In 2018, Judy and our family’s lives changed forever with a cancer diagnosis. What began as a fight quickly turned into a long, exhausting journey filled with countless surgeries, treatments, and tests—bringing with it overwhelming medical bills and emotional strain, in which they’ve never asked for help. Unfortunately in January we received news that Judy's cancer had returned and spread to her lungs, making it incurable stage 4 cancer, and we are now asking for your help.
Through this entire journey, Judy continues to face every challenge with incredible strength, courage, and unwavering optimism. This courage has been admired by her family and friends.
For years, Judy has worked at a cancer center, dedicating her life to supporting and advocating for others facing the very battle she has been fighting herself. She has been a source of hope for so many. Unfortunately, due to the progression of her diagnosis which will now require travel for treatment, as well as the many side effects she will experience, Judy is no longer able to work-leaving her family with a sudden loss of income, during an already difficult time.
While this news is devastating, there is still hope.
Judy has been given the opportunity to participate in a treatment that specifically targets her cancer—a chance for more time, more memories, and a better quality of life.
However, this opportunity comes with significant financial challenges. Between ongoing medical expenses, travel to Grand Rapids for treatment, and everyday living costs, the burden has become overwhelming.
That’s why we’re asking for your help.
If you are able, please consider donating to support Judy during this critical time. Every contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward her treatments and medical bills, and help ease the financial stress so Judy and Kurt can focus on what matters most: fighting this battle together.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Judy and Kurt in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support. It truly means the world to our family.
With gratitude,
Judy’s Tribe
