Help Judith Walk Again: Support Her Knee Surgery

Hello, my name is Anabel. My mother Judith is in need of your help! For the past 10 years, my mom's knee cartilage has slowly been deteriorating. She has been dealing with the pain through cortisone shot injections, steroidal medicines, and much-needed rest. It has been since last year's winter that she noticed that something has inevitably changed and she has not been able to walk or stand for more than an hour a day without being in excruciating pain. She has had issues with not being able to go to the doctors or take care of other priorities because she needed to receive her replacement residency card which took almost two years to receive! It finally came in around May and we were able to get her on track and on July 27th, my mom has officially begun her journey for a double knee replacement. On August 21st, she will have surgery on her left knee and plans on getting the second one done in the beginning of next year. We're very optimistic for the quality of her life to improve finally and she can hopefully be able to achieve some level of normalcy. Thankfully her health insurance will cover the cost of the surgery and maybe a provider (we're not 100% sure but have been told by many that she will) but in the mean time we are asking for funds to help with the following:

-Insurance Deductible

-A month's worth of rent

-Car Repairs

-Medical Equipment for Showering (hand held shower head, grab bars and a tub transfer)

Between my brother and I, we are comfortable with other expenses not listed but also between him and I, we are our mom's only support system in the US. We're asking for just a little bit of help to keep her comfortable and not worry about the small stuff as she focuses on her recovery.
