Help Judith recover from damage after Manning Taree floods.

For 80 years Judith has called Jones Island home , for the second time in 4 years flood waters have destroyed her home.

In 2021 the floods stole decades of memories 1000s photos,furniture and personal items were lost forever.

Just when getting back on her feet from the mental struggles of the 2021 flood she's been devastated again with a bigger flood.

The speed the water rose necessitated an evacuation that was so fast she could only pack a small bag and was forced to leave her beloved cats and birds behind with basic food and water at a hight that was thought to be safe.

The hardest part is not knowing how they are with the water levels reaching higher than ever.

Judith was raised in this house. Has never known another home in her life. Flood waters have only ever entered the house twice in 100 years, In 2021 and now, and as I am writing this the waters are still rising.

Insurance companies would not insure her. It took all her family to chip in and donate time to clean and repair to make the property liveable again. (Wait times for any trades were months).

Judith has never asked for much through her life. She was a member of the volunteer fire bridge for decades. She spent years looking after her mother when she needed full time care. She was always looking out for others, now we are asking for help for her Because we know she won't ask herself.

She is a pensioner living a frugal life and dosnt have the funds to make her house a home again.

Funds will go directly to restoring, clearing, cleaning and replacing furniture.

Any funds raised above our needs will go directly to other local flood victims helping more than just our Aunt.

Photos used are taken two days after the water has started to go down. Water was about half way up the wall and mud that is left inside is ankle deep.
