Help Judith and Michael Rebuild After Hurricane

My name is Judith Malley, 75 partially disabled; my husband is Michael and a brittle diabetic. We live in a small single story home on Davis Islands in Tampa Florida. For the first time in close to 80 storm surge (Hurricane Helene) didn’t just affect us. We lost everything we owned. For example the appliances. Thirty Three years of our lives gone in 4 hours of storm surge. We were left standing in 3’ or more of water filled with sewage as it backed up. The house /our lives will take a lot to restore.. Our insurance had lapsed because we didn’t have the funds. We have applied to FEMA but have no idea of how long that takes or if it will be enough or even close to enough. Not sure how it works. The two of us and our two labs are currently in a small hotel room. I hope you find it in your heart to help us. We are pretty much desperate.
