Judge isn’t just our horse — he is the heart of everything we’ve built. Our farm, Judney Farms, was named after him. He’s been there through it all — a steady, kind soul who has given us so much over the years. Anyone who has met him knows how special he is.
Judge has been fighting a painful and serious eye condition, Equine Recurrent Uveitis, along with a severe corneal ulcer that put his vision at risk. What started as something small quickly turned into a long and difficult battle. Despite catching it early and doing everything we could, his eye stopped healing and required emergency care at a specialty equine hospital. He had to undergo intensive treatment, including a system placed directly into his eye so medications could be given around the clock — something no horse (or owner) ever expects to go through. There were moments we truly feared he could lose his eye.
Thankfully, Judge is still fighting, and his eye is finally starting to heal — but his journey is far from over. He will need continued care and a vision-saving procedure to help prevent future flare-ups and protect his remaining sight. While we will always do everything we can for him, this has been an overwhelming and unexpected burden. We are asking for help to cover a small portion of these costs so we can continue giving Judge the care he needs — and the chance to keep seeing the world he’s been such a big part of. If you’ve ever loved a horse, you understand how much they give us without asking for anything in return. Now we’re asking for a little help for him. Every donation, share, and kind word means more than we can say. Thank you for helping us fight for Judge.
