Hi everyone! This is my cat Jude. Jude is the sweetest and cuddliest boy, always within five feet of me and usually sitting right on my lap, so much so that it’s hard to find a photo of him without me in it! I adopted (foster failed) him after he spent almost a year in the shelter/foster homes, and he’s become my constant companion. Today, I took Jude in for a routine checkup and vaccines, and the vet noticed his breathing seemed labored. After running some tests and doing X rays under sedation, they found fluid in his lungs, which they believe is likely a bad infection. The vet had to do a full panel of blood and urine tests, and Jude will need to go back on Tuesday for a procedure to flush out his lungs and test the fluid. He’ll also need a heartworm test, since that hasn’t been ruled out yet, and it’s almost certain that in the future he will require more frequent vet visits and medication.

All of the funds raised will go directly toward Jude’s medical bills, which will help cover today’s visit and the upcoming procedure. This will help ensure Jude gets the care he needs, including any follow-up treatments or medications. Even though I work full time, these costs are very expensive and unexpected. 

I am never one to ask for help, but as a financially independent college student who budgets very meticulously, any help with these funds would mean the world to us. I never imagined myself in this situation, and I usually struggle to ask for help at all, but I am really in need of any support that can be offered.
