Dear friends, family and kind-hearted supporters,

We are reaching out with a heavy heart to share our 12-month-old nephew, Jude’s story. Jude has recently been diagnosed with a birth related brain injury, resulting in hemiplegic cerebral palsy. Jude was born via emergency C-section after showing signs of distress during labor. He was born non responsive with an apgar score of 1 which required resuscitation. Jude came to life and was treated for and sent home as normal. As you can imagine this sudden news has been devastating for Jason and Kaylee.

We want to provide Jude with the best care, including an innovative treatment for brain injures at Duke University, where he has been accepted into a program to receive an infusion of his cord blood. This treatment, along with long-term therapies to achieve milestones such as motor and cognitive function comes with a significant cost.
