Help Juan's Mother Get Urgent Surgery
Donation protected
Hi there,
My name is Juan. My mother, who wishes to remain anonymous (hence why I used an older picture of us), is going through a rough time. My mother is a hardworking woman; she raised me all by herself since I was born. We had to flee Colombia about 14 years ago, escaping the violence and persecution our family was facing. My mother did everything in her power to provide for the both of us. She recently opened a nail salon that she unfortunately had to close down due to a recent diagnosis and a decline in her health. My mother was diagnosed with a couple of tumors. I tried to get as much information from her as possible, but she was a bit reluctant to put her story out there on the internet. She doesn't believe that strangers will come together to help her get through this tough time since mostly everyone she has met throughout her life has done her more bad than good. From my understanding, my mother was diagnosed with two tumors: one inside her brain that's benign, and another one in her womb. The brain tumor, the doctors are not too concerned about, but the one in her womb needs to come out as soon as possible. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover the initial $3,000 for the surgery and that's all we are looking for. I have been picking up extra shifts at work and started doing Amazon Flex on the side to try and collect as much money as possible. Unfortunately, my mother is in no shape to work; she gets constant headaches and constant bleeding from her womb. There are days where she is not even able to get up due to the pain she experiences. My mother's surgery is scheduled for the 16th of January. We had it scheduled sooner, but due to the lack of funding, we had to change it to the 6th of next month. Any little bit helps. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. God bless.
