As some of you know my uncle Juan Carlos Hurtado was recently ran over by a car while doing his usual weekend bike ride. This was a major event and thank God he survived, immediately being rushed to ORMC trauma center.

He suffered severe injuries including a cervical spine fracture and ankle fracture requiring two extensive surgeries to fuse his spine and stabilize his leg. He is stable and recovering slowly but he is still incapacitated and has significant neurological deficits including the inability to fully control his arms and hands.

As of now he remains at the hospital and will soon be moved to a long term rehabilitation facility. The recovery process will be very long and unfortunately he won’t be able to work for several months; making it hard for him to keep up with his financial responsibilities.
