Help Juan with his kidney transplant

My name is Juan. I am a survivor of a stroke and a heart attack who now faces chronic kidney disease. My life has been full of health challenges since I was diagnosed with diabetes at age seventeen. In this last battle with kidney disease, I’ve been lucky to have my wife Fernanda’s unconditional support.

My sister had selflessly stepped forward as a possible donor, but unfortunately, she was unfit to donate. Therefore, I’m now patiently awaiting my turn on the kidney recipient list. With luck, this could be any moment now.

As we prepare for a life-saving kidney transplant, the daunting reality of medical expenses weighs heavily on our hearts. I say “we” because this is a family effort, I would not be able to do it on my own. The road ahead is fraught with obstacles – the physical and emotional toll of surgery, the complexities of postoperative care, and the financial strain of managing ongoing medical needs. Your generosity will provide both my family and me with the essential support we need to face these challenges together, hand in hand.

Your donations will help cover the costs of the post-procedure, which includes the long recovery process. Which would be about three critical weeks post-surgery with constant care of my family members. Followed by months of many post-transplant appointments under rigorous supervision for health recovery. We are particularly using this money to cover the needed accommodations, meals, and transportation. This will help me, and the family members that will generously oversee my recovery, and that will take time away from work and their own families.
