Help Juan Miguel to get back on his feet

Hola, mi nombre es Juan Miguel Bautista. Para todos los que me conocen, tal vez se han dado cuenta que acabo de perder mi pie! Opte por amputarme el pie derecho por debajo de la rodilla.

Tengo 10 ańos desde que soy Diabético y fue en junio del 2020 donde se dio mi primer problema con este pie. Desafortunadamente me surgió una infección en el hueso que se derramó a la sangre y ocasionó que estuviera séptico y casi no la contara. Después de todo un ańo en tratamientos y una previa amputación en el dedo, creíamos que todo estaba bien hasta que ahora el 10 de junio del 2021 caí al hospital con esta misma infección ahora mucho más fuerte que antes. Por tal motivo decidí tomar la decisión por amputar mi pie. Aunque fue una decisión fuerte para muchos, y mucho más para mi familia, yo se que fue la mejor decisión. Hoy puedo decir que me siento de lo mejor y se que mi vida no termina, mi vida hoy comienza. Dios está conmigo y es lo que más importa.

Hoy me gustaría pedirles un favor a todos ustedes, no ha sido nada fácil financieramente para mi, el no poder trabajar por completo ha recaído en mi Esposa e hijas que han sabido afrontar todos estos problemas como unas verdaderas guerreras. Siempre haciendo que yo no me preocupe más que por mi recuperación, más sin embargo los biles y las cuentas médicas no dejan de llegar.

Hello, my name is Juan Miguel Bautista. For all of you who know me, you may have realized that I just lost my foot! I chose to amputate my right foot below the knee.

I encountered my first problem with this foot back in June of 2020 after being Diabetic for only 10 years. Unfortunately I developed an infection in the bone that leaked into the blood and caused me to become septic and almost killed me. After a whole year of treatment and an amputation of the Great Toe, we believed that everything was fine until this past June 10th, I was hospitalized with high fever, chills and a great amount of pus draining out of my foot. I was rushed to the hospital with this same infection now much stronger than before. For this reason I chose to amputate my foot. Although it was a hard decision for many, and much more for my family, I know it was the best decision. I can say that I feel great, and I know that my life does not end, my life begins today. God is with me and its what matters most.

It has not been easy Financially for me. Not being able to work all year has put a great amount of financial burden on to my Wife and daughters whom have managed to face all these problems like true warriors . Always making sure that I do not worry about anything other than my recovery, but nevertheless the bills and medical bills do not stop arriving. Neither has the stress nor the worries.

For this reason, I am asking to anyone whom would like to help out in any way possible. No amount is to small. Anything will help us catch up and get back on our feet. Thank you and God Bless you!
