My name is Juan Rodriguez, I am 44 years old, hopefully will get to 45. In 2021 I was diagnosed with ALS, a motor neuron disease. I was given two to five years to survive. No cure, only a few treatments are available, and I was on them. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of ALS. Now I can't hardly move any part of my body, arms and legs don't work. My hand's won't work, I can't even use a remote or phone. It gets harder and harder every day, but I am still here. I have two great boys and a angel for a wife. I was living my dream life, everything was going great, then out of the blue, I had my life ripped apart, like a bad movie.

Now I am stuck up stairs and my stair lift quit. We got the stair lift used in 2022 January, I was still able to go up and down stairs with assistance but we new it was coming. I have been stuck up stairs for five week, going on six. Me and my boys and technical support have determined it is the circuit board and of course it's not available, the unit was discontinued a few years ago. The unit was made in 2011, so what are you going to do. When we bought it the Dr told me I would not live to Christmas of 2022. And if I hadn't we would have been good lol.

So now I would like to go outside again, spend time with my family, down stairs where the kitchen is and all the talking gets done. I don't talk much but when I do, it's important lol. Between the caregiver and medical bills we are losing money every month, it's difficult to cover a large bill like this. I am asking for some help, if you can great, if you can't, I understand no problem.

With the money raised I will buy and have installed a chair lift and if there is any funds left over, I will put it towards a new recliner that lifts me up.
