Juan is a dedicated student athlete who uses a wheelchair and has shown incredible determination in the UIL wheelchair division for track. Right now, he’s competing with a borrowed racing wheelchair, but he’s about to take on even bigger challenges at the Regional and State track meets. Juan is only a freshman, so a new and improved racing chair would benefit him for years to come as he continues to compete and grow as an athlete.

Modern racing wheelchairs are longer and sleeker, improving aerodynamics and speed. Larger wheels help with acceleration, and the seating position is tailored to maximize the transfer of energy from the athlete’s arms to the wheels. This means Juan can compete more safely and effectively, and the right chair will allow him to focus on his performance rather than worrying about equipment limitations.
