Juan Antonio estaba en casa barriendo cuando un trágico accidente lo cambió todo. Mientras intentaba mover un cable de extensión conectado a un calentador, accidentalmente desconectó una tubería de gas. El gas se encendió y provocó la explosión del calentador. Juan Antonio sufrió quemaduras de tercer y cuarto grado y ahora está en la UCI, en coma.

El hospital en el que actualmente está recibiendo atención en Chihuahua no cuenta con el equipo necesario para tratarlo. La única manera de que reciba la atención que podría salvarle la vida es trasladarlo a un hospital privado — pero esto debe pagarse de su propio bolsillo.

Estamos pidiendo humildemente su ayuda en este momento inimaginable. Sus donaciones irán directamente a la atención médica de Juan Antonio y al costo de trasladarlo a un hospital que pueda tratar sus lesiones críticas.

We are writing on behalf of the Padilla family — Juan Antonio’s mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, and everyone who loves him dearly.

Juan Antonio was at home sweeping when a tragic accident changed everything. While trying to move an extension cord connected to a boiler, he accidentally disconnected a gas pipe. The gas ignited, causing the boiler to explode. Juan Antonio suffered severe third- and fourth-degree burns and is now in the ICU, in a coma.

The hospital where he is currently receiving care in Chihuahua, Mexico is not equipped to handle the level of treatment he urgently needs. The only way to get him the care that could save his life is to transfer him to a private hospital — but this must be paid for out of pocket.
